This week, Readers bookshopheld a special Book Fair for MAS students, parents, and staff. Both Arabic and English books were offered and a variety of reading levels were catered to at the Fair, which took place in the Reception Hall of the Main Building.
The books being sold at the Book Fair ranged from beginner to advanced reading level and included fiction and non-fiction selections. Parents were encouraged to visit the bookstore as well, which sold reading material at reasonable prices. By offering Book Fairs at our school, we aim to emphasize the importance of books and literature in enabling children to become confident, happy and enthusiastic readers and writers, with all the benefits this brings.
At MAS, we believe that reading exposes our students to new ideas, information, and ways to solve problems. We advocate for our students to read on their own outside the classroom in order to improve their comprehension of ideas inside the classroom. The book fair was an excellent way to get our students excited about reading! We are looking forward to our next school Book Fair!
