On Thursday, February 1st, 2018,ÌýThe ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Middle SchoolÌý hosted the annualÌýScience Recycling Fashion Show and quite literally modeled their understanding of theÌýimportance of using the Earth's resources wisely.Ìý
Under the leadership of the Science department, students gathered used textiles and other materials that areÌýespecially difficult to recycle or reuse, such as Styrofoam cups, plastic garbage bags, bubble wrap, drinking straws,Ìý andÌýsix-pack rings and creatively turned them into useful andÌýfashionable clothing and accessories. After many hours of preparation and rehearsal, student performed an energized and exciting fashion show for their parents, teachers and fellow students.ÌýÌýThis experiential way ofÌýlearning deeply embeds understanding of lessons first grounded in classroom and builds fun and community along the way.
